Homer Simpson is going to hire a life coach on an episode that airs on September 23, 2007.

If it’s on www.tv.com it must be true!  😉  Here’s a description from that site:

“Next episode: He Loves to Fly and He D’oh’s
After Homer saves Mr. Burns’ life, he is rewarded with a trip in Mr. Burns’ private plane. Upon returning home, Homer is determined to find a job that offers the chance to fly on a corporate jet and he hires a life coach to help him in his quest.”

Stephen Colbert, of the Colbert Report, guest stars as the life coach.  Having seen a few of his show clips on Comedy Central, I have a feeling this will be a spoof on life coaching.

Too bad the studio executives didn’t get a real life coach for the role.  Life coaching will be exposed to a large number of viewers, which is a good thing, but their perception of coaching could end up being quite skewed! Time will tell.
