			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Life coaching was offered to prisoners in Scotland in an effort to support them to integrate back into the community and not re-offend.  As you can imagine, if you release a person back into the same environment that landed them in jail, chances are they will end up in jail again.</p>
<p>Initially the results have shown that the percentage of prisoners who get jobs when they are released is 21% in the group that had coaches and less than half of that for released prisoners without them.  The whole aim is to reduce the rate of re-offending, though those statistics are not yet available.</p>
